Olde Worlde Couples Halloween Costumes
More and more adults are warming up to the idea of joining in on the fun of dressing up and organizing costume parties to celebrate Halloween and even going to the trouble of finding couples Halloween costumes that they can wear together. One way couples do that is by coordinating their costumes, and going to parties in complementing costumes.
Halloween is one of the holidays where you get to flex your creative muscles and even go a bit mad, but first, and this is probably the hard part, you will need to decide what your motif will be.
One great idea would be to take a historical era as a theme. There are a lot of interesting eras in our past that could give you ideas for couples halloween costumes. And this idea would be perfect for those who love history. Take, for example, the Renaissance period. This theme has always been very fascinating, and would also be a lot of fun to do. Plus, you get to visit the age of Olde England that’s also quite popular as a movie theme.

Some ideas for couples Halloween costumes would be going as Robin Hood and Maid Marian (probably the most
popular characters), or maybe as a Medieval Maid or Lady-in-Waiting and a Knight or a Musketeer, or even as a Prince and Princess or a Queen and King. How fun would it be to feel like a King and Queen for a day, even if it is just for Halloween? A lot of fun, I say.
A slightly different take would be dressing up as a pair of Court Jesters, or as a couple of Pages, which would be veering away from the usual couples halloween costumes and might make you stand out in the crowd. Learn to juggle together and you will be the life of the party!!
Other good ideas would be to go as a pair of any type of Knight (which would mean dressing up in similar Knight’s costumes or how about The Black Knight and Sir Lancelot). You could go as a pair of Executioners or maybe decide who is to be executed and act out a grisly scene, or how about a pair of Musketeers (you knew the little-known fifth Musketeer was a woman, right?).
Admittedly, these costumes would be for the more conservative types, especially the ladies, as they do not require much baring of skin, so no need to fret.
But for those who aren’t too squeamish about baring some skin, there are also some sexier costumes you might like to try. You could ring the changes with the Knight’s costumes and go as a medieval princess….or, taking it one step further, as a damsel in distress. That would let you dress in a reasonable approximation to a bondage costume to be “rescued” by your knight!!
One thing I’ve learned is that, often, I’ve found that the more out-of-the-ordinary it is, the more interesting it is, too. Whatever couples Halloween costumes you finally choose though, have fun with them.
